This temporary furniture showroom was built to last for just one month but was designed to provide a convenient mobile exhibition after the expiration of this initial period, and was also required to provide secure storage for the furniture at night. 2 meters square rental containers were intended for use as stores for roadwork machinery, and equipped with a shutter as a show window for the furniture. The primary structure is provided by the container itself, while the space is enclosed by a light steel frame and tent-like ceiling. The structural concept is a development of the “Furniture House” idea, but only the frame and tent need to be stored and transported, while the main structural container itself can be hired at any rental company branch.

会期が1ヶ月の家具の仮設ショールーム。移動可能であるようなライトな構造としながらも、夜間に家具が安全に保管できるように、レンタルしたコンテナをショーケースとし、かつそのコンテナ自体を主体構造として軽いスチールフレームと膜屋根で展示空間を覆っている。コンテナそのものがショーケースであるから、夜間は鍵をかければ安心である。これは「家具の家」のアイデアを発展させたものであり、ひとつのものにふたつの意味をもたせたり、部材を減らしローコストを図ったりというこれまでのの考え方に基づいている。
