For this extension of the Rietberg Museum, designated as a cultural heritage, limited space was assigned in the park surrounding the museum. To meet these difficult site conditions, an underground space was proposed that took advantage of the Swiss proficiency in tunnel making, with only some toplights emerging in the park. The tunnel construction was thought to start on a neigbouring vacant site, allowing to use the museum and its park even during construction.

スイス、リードバーグ美術館の増築計画。既存の美術館は文化財に指定され、公園の中の敷地は配置可能な場所が限られており、また既存の様式建築との調和もむずかしい。そこでスイスの先進的トンネル施工技術を使って、隣地の空地から工事を行い、ギャラリーなどすべての空間を地下に建設し、公園の中にガラスのトップライトのみを彫刻的に配置した。これにより工事中も公園を閉鎖せずに利用することができる。
