The design of this commercial building, primarily a cinema complex, unifies diverse leisure facilities into one establishment. By making the movie theaters the structural core of the building, the space on the periphery is able to remain light and open with operable glass shutter facades. This peripheral buffer zone imitates traditional Japanese architecture by creating an inviting, intermediate public space.

さまざまな娯楽やレジャー施設、それに複数のシアターからなるシネマコンプレックス。シアターをコアとすることで、周囲の低層部における構造的な制約を減らし、ファサードをガラスシャッターとした開放的な空間としている。これは地元の伝統的な町並み(雁木)を踏襲した雪よけや外気の緩衝帯として働き、また周囲の公共的空間を引き込んだ内外が連続した空間となる。
