Kamisato Hightway Oasis- Kamisato, Saitama, Japan, 2006

This is a roadside resting station directly accessible off of the Kanetsu Highway and includes facilities such as shops, restaurants, and even outdoor baths. The
layout was organized in an arrangement of traditional Japanese temples, with a symbolic tower in the center, to be the largest timber structure tower in
Japan,
and the surrounding buildings of various timber structures such as a woven suspension roof in a traditional basket weaving pattern. The structure was proposed
to be of bamboo for its strength and high growth rate.
