鎌倉の住宅

Set in a quiet residential in Kamakura, the narrow site backs onto a steep hill. The main space is a large picture window that opens out to a balcony facing the colorful canvas of flowering trees rising up the hill. In contrast, the adjacent wall is like a monotone ink painting composed by a white translucent membrane projecting the shadow of trees lining the edge of the site.

敷地は鎌倉の閑静な住宅街にあり、裏は急勾配の丘に面している。メインスペースには、大きなピクチャーウィンドーを配し、窓を開けると屋外のバルコニーへとつながり、カラフルに開花した丘の木々が目の前に広がる。そして、それとは対照的に部屋の壁は白半透明の膜を使うことで、外の木々の影をまるでモノトーンの水墨画のように映し出す。
