Atrium/ アトリウム

The main concept of the interior design is to use local materials as much as possible. The perforated waved roof made of “Ductal” concrete (contains local sand) is the structure of the roof and at the same time acts as a shading device casting shadow of the Ghaf tree on the atrium space. A glass roof sits on the “Ductal” roof. Operable outswing windows are located in the longitudinal edge in order to exhaust the hot air when necessary.

インテリアデザインのメインコンセプトは、地元の素材を可能な限り使用すること。「ダクタル」コンクリート（地元の砂を含める）で作られた穴あき波形の屋根は、アトリウムの屋根であると同時に、ギャフの木のような木陰をつくる役割も果たす。ガラス屋根は「ダクタル」屋根の上に配置される。アウトスウィングができる窓は、必要に応じて熱風を排出する。
