Existing building before renovation / 改修前の既存建物

Seizan Golf Course in Karuizawa is planning a renewal project that includes reconstruction of the clubhouse, which will take several years. The first step was to renovate the existing building (former ’ Asamatei’) so that it can be used as a temporary clubhouse. This building not only functions as a clubhouse, but also as a restaurant open to the public. Despite the renovation, the main concept was to design a warm and open interior space that foreshadows the wonderful new clubhouse. To minimize material waste during demolition, paper tubes made of recycled paper were used for walls and ceilings to create an organic space with a wood-like warmth.

軽井沢の晴山ゴルフ場では、数年かけたクラブハウスの建替えを含むリニューアルが計画されており、まずは仮設のクラブハウスとして使用できるよう、既存建物（旧浅間亭）の改修を行った。本建物はクラブハウス機能のみでなく、一般に開放したレストランとしても利用が可能である。改修でありながらも、素晴らしい新クラブハウスを予感させるように、温かみのある、開放的なインテリア空間をデザインすることを大きなコンセプトとした。解体時の資材ゴミを最小限にするため、再生紙でできた紙管を壁や天井に使用し、木のようなぬくもりがある有機的な空間を演出した。
