A concert hall to be built in Altdorf, Uri, known for the legend of William Tell and considered the birthplace of Switzerland. The design fully preserves the exterior walls of the former armoury, built in 1806 and situated at the heart of the town square, while planning an independent timber concert hall within. The hall itself is elevated on four legs, with the ground floor functioning as a foyer or public space open to the community. The hall‘s interior walls are designed to contribute to acoustic performance by revealing structurally necessary ribs in a wave-like pattern.
ウィリアム・テルの伝説で知られ、スイス発祥の地ともいわれる、ウーリ州のアルトドルフに建てられるコンサートホール。街の広場の中心に建つ、1806年建造の旧武器庫の外壁を完全に保存し、内部に独立した木造のコンサートホールを計画した。ホール自体は4本の脚で上部に持ち上げられ、地上階はホワイエ、もしくは地域に開放されたパブリックスペースとして機能する。ホールの内壁は構造上必要なリブを波状に現わすことで音響性能に寄与することを意図している。
