New Hall at Aibahama Park West Area / 藍場浜公園西エリア・新ホール

In this project, a series of stepped terraces is introduced along the Shinmachi River, creating a three-dimensional public park space that extends seamlessly from Aibahama Park and the riverfront. This open landscape is designed to be enjoyed not only by facility visitors, but by any passersby or members of the public. The stepped terraces and two bridges connect Aibahama Park and Awagin Hall through the new cultural hall.
The bridge on the park side links directly to the second-floor shared lobby while also providing direct access to the stepped terraces. Meanwhile, the bridge on the Awagin Hall side connects to the Prefectural Plaza and exhibition galleries, allowing the area to function as an event space integrated with the hall’s activity rooms and multipurpose rooms.
Activity rooms, which can also serve as traditional rural stages, are arranged facing the rooftop terrace, creating a circulation route accessible from both the shared lobby and the riverside. By linking the rural stage and rooftop terrace with surrounding facilities through the stepped terraces, the project forms an interactive gathering space filled with activity and exchange.
The volume of the main hall is composed of a simple three-dimensional lattice structure topped with an Amigasa roof that echoes the ridgeline of Mount Bizan. The terrace beneath the woven-hat-shaped roof creates a comfortable public space for everyday relaxation, gently embracing views of the Shinmachi River and Mount Bizan while providing a place for people to gather and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

本計画では、新町川に沿って階段状のステップテラスを設け、藍場浜公園や新町川と連続する、施設利用者以外も楽しめる立体的な公園空間を創出している。ステップテラスと2か所のブリッジにより、本ホールを介して藍場浜公園とあわぎんホールをつなぐ。
公園側のブリッジは2階共用ロビーに接続するとともに、ステップテラスへ直接アクセスできる構成としている。一方、あわぎんホール側のブリッジは、県民広場や展示ギャラリーに接続することで、本ホールの活動室や多目的室と一体となったイベントスペースとして利用できる。
屋上テラスに面して農村舞台としても利用可能な活動室を配置し、共用ロビーや川岸からもアクセスできる回遊性を確保している。ステップテラスを介して農村舞台や屋上テラスが周辺施設と連携することで、多くの人々で賑わう交流空間を形成する。
大ホールのボリュームは、シンプルな立体格子の上に眉山の稜線と呼応する編笠屋根を載せた構成としている。編笠屋根の下に広がるテラスは、新町川や眉山の景観を程よく取り込みながら、日常の憩いの場となる快適な公共空間を創出する。
