2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Project
令和6年能登半島地震 被災地支援プロジェクト

A plan to recover Noto roofing tiles and reclaimed timber, which have historically shaped the local streetscapes of Oku-Noto, from publicly dismantled houses and repurpose them as building materials for detached post-disaster housing.
The reclaimed timber is directly integrated into both the structural and architectural design as the principal pillar supporting the core of each dwelling unit, while the recovered Noto roofing tiles are reused as roofing material.
A staggered site layout, combined with facing engawa (traditional verandas), creates a spatial configuration that encourages natural community interaction and a sense of mutual presence among residents.

奥能登の景観を形成してきた能登瓦や古材を、公費解体される家屋から回収し、戸建て復興住宅の建築資材として再利用します。
回収した古材は各住戸の大黒柱として、能登瓦は屋根材として活用します。
千鳥状の配置計画と向かい合う縁側により、住民同士の自然な見守りと交流を促す空間を形成します。

A permanent public housing project in Otani-machi, Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, comprising two two-story buildings and three single-story buildings (40 units in total).
The project reuses large-section timber from the Expo Ring—donated free of charge by the Expo Association to Suzu City—including 42 cm square columns and 21 cm × 42 cm beams, together with CLT panels, as structural members.

石川県珠洲市大谷町に整備する、2階建て2棟および平屋3棟（計40戸）の災害公営住宅プロジェクト。
万博協会より珠洲市に無償で譲渡された万博リング木材（42cm角柱、21cm×42cm梁）やCLT材を構造材として活用します。

From December 18 to 20, 2024, we built a temporary hair salon for Hoshiba Hair Salon in Wajima City, which was destroyed by a fire following the earthquake.
2024年12月18日～20日にかけて輪島市に地震火災により焼失したホシバ美容室の仮設美容室を建設しました。

珠洲市にて、集会所を建設しました。建設地はDLT恒久仮設木造住宅の1～4棟と5～6棟の中間地点にあたります。屋根には瓦プロジェクトで回収した能登瓦を再利用しています。

In Minami-cho, Wajima, the construction of 3 DLT permanent temporary housings whinch have units for 31 families has started.
2024年12月、輪島市の南町子供の広場（ゾウさん公園）でDLT恒久仮設住宅（3棟 31世帯）を建設しました。

Noto-gawara (Noto roof tiles) and old materials such as pillars and beams will be recovered from collapsed houses and put to good use.
Noto-gawara is a little larger than the typical tile and are glazed on both sides. The company that manufactured these Noto-gawara closed its business several years ago.
In order to preserve the townscape of Noto-gawara, which symbolize Oku-Noto, we will collect tiles and old materials from collapsed houses before they are crushed and disposed of through publicly funded demolition, and will pass them on to the next generation for the future.
Since June 2025, we have been continuously collecting and recovering Noto Tiles from collapsed houses in Suzu.

倒壊した家屋から能登瓦や、柱や梁といった古材を回収して利活用を行います。
能登瓦は、一般的に普及している瓦よりも少し大きく、両面を釉薬で仕上げています。この能登瓦を製造する会社が数年前に閉業しています。
奥能登を象徴する能登瓦の町並みを将来へとつなげるために、公費解体で粉砕されて処分される前に倒壊家屋から瓦や古材を回収し、次の人への橋渡しを行います。2025年6月より、継続的に珠洲市にて瓦の回収作業を行っております。

On June 20 of 2025, 30 households were completed and handed over as part of the nine planned buildings (135 households). The rooms are furnished with furniture and tables.In the room, curtains by artist Tomoko Konoike have also been installed.
We asked people who do handicrafts to help us by sewing curtains out of fabrics they had at home and embroidering motifs inspired by Ukrainian poetry.

2025年6月、建設予定の9棟（135世帯）のうちの30世帯分が完成し、引き渡しが行われました。
室内には備え付けの家具やテーブルを設置しています。
室内にはアーティストの鴻池朋子さんによるカーテンも設置されています。手芸をする方々に協力を呼びかけ、それぞれ自宅にある布でカーテンを縫ってもらい、そこにウクライナの詩からイメージした作品のモチーフを刺繍しました。

Since 2024, we have been continuously constructing temporary paper ateliers in Suzu City and Wajima City.

2024年から継続的に珠洲市と輪島市に紙の仮設工房を建設しています。

From March 8 to 11, 2024, construction workshop of Paper Log House was held at Yokoyama, Suzu.
This Paper Log Houses was built for a habitant, whose home was completely destroyed by the earthquake and had to live in a green house.

2024年3月8日～11日にかけて珠洲市横山地区に紙の住宅の建設ワークショップを行いました。
珠洲市狼煙町で地震によって自宅が全壊し、ビニルハウスで一人で生活する方に紙のログハウスを建設しました。

PPS were installed in Kanazawa City, Hakusan City, Suzu City, and Nomi City.
金沢市、白山市、珠洲市、能美市にPPSを用いた避難所が設置されました。
