This bed made of cardboard was developed in collaboration with Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. to improve conditions in evacuation centers. It can be assembled in limited spaces, and the cardboard box used for the product’s packaging during shipping can be repurposed as storage boxes under the bed, helping minimize waste in the shared living space of evacuation centers.

Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024, forty sets of cardboard beds from Ryohin Keikaku, and forty mattresses from by Airweave Inc. were donated to an evacuation center in Kanazawa.

ダンボールでできた本ベッドは、避難所の環境改善のために株式会社良品計画との共同で開発された。限られたスペースで組み立てることができる簡易組み立て式である。配送時に商品を包むダンボール箱はベッド下の収納箱として使用できるようになっており、避難所という共同生活の場で、できる限りゴミが出ないように工夫している。

2024年1月1日に発生した能登半島地震による金沢市の避難所には、良品計画より「ダンボールでできたベッド」、エアウィーヴ株式会社よりマットレスをそれぞれ40セット寄贈いただいた。
